Updated: Blog Talk Live: Interview with Mike Edholm, Cartoonist
By Dennis Kornbluh
Tonight on Blog Talk Live my guest will be Mike Edholm, Cartoonist. Mike has been drawing since the age of two, taking every art course the public school system had to offer, and working at his father’s commercial photography studio from the age of ten, learning the intricacies of photography, graphic arts, and darkroom techniques. His cartoons have graced the web pages of the Star City Blog since its inception.
Tune in to BlogTalk Live from 6-7pm on KZUM 89.3 FM, on Time-Warner channel 10, or catch the live Internet stream on KZUM.org.
Audio for this evening's show is posted below in two parts:

See you tonight, Dennis. Looking forward to it.
Do I need to wear a tie?

Leave the tie in the closet. The dress code is casual, baseball cap optional.

Hi Den!!!
I was DYING TO CALL tonight but did not have the nerve. Way before Chas. Shulz was mentioned, I was going to call and ask Mike what medium he used, as Shulz, who I worked for for 10 years, used a brush for his drawings. Only 2 guys in NYC whom I’ve worked with, were licensed to draw the characters and I wanted to ask if he remembered their names, as I FORGOT. We had Peanuts for our main license and I went to Santa Rosa every year to his yearly “workshops”. And then he (MIKE) said Shulz was one of his favorites!! I got very excited, but still did not have the nerve to call. I too sat in his studio chair with the 3rd or 4th Snoopy in my lap! He took me ice skating in his rink! He signed my cartoon strip SPARKY. But alas, I am a wuss. But I REALLY enjoyed the show, despite some strange phone calls. (mine would have sounded normal in comparison)
