Although the laser is no longer in use, the planetarium will now give audiences a fun and entertaining fulldome experience set to the music of the holiday season. "Holiday Music Magic: The Fulldome Experience" contains songs from The Eurythmics, Mannheim Steamroller, Chuck Berry, Burl Ives, Brenda Lee and more.

The festive soundtrack is visually enhanced with 3-D artistic animation and all-dome scenery in the domed theatre. This show was originally produced at Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City. It runs approximately 30 minutes.

Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra Cancels March 13, 2010 Concert

LSO1 Because of some complications in coordinating schedules, Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra’s board, artistic leadership and its featured guest artist for the March 13, 2010 concert, “Stand By Me,” have decided to cancel the concert after thoughtfully considering several options.

LSO Music Director Edward Polochick is committed to ensuring that every program offered to LSO patrons is of the highest artistic quality.

“With the short time frame, it’s not feasible for us to put together a comparable program,” he said. “We felt it best to wait until we could offer an exciting, high caliber program to our pops audience next season.”

Support a Great Cause at the 'Tiny Hands, Big Hearts' Arts and Crafts Sale December 6th

Poster Designed by Amanda Clark Art is a commodity. Young girls are not. On Dec. 6 from 1-3 p.m., the Lincoln community will help eradicate slavery with “Tiny Hands, Big Hearts” in the Engel Hall lobby of Union College. The arts and crafts sale will benefit Tiny Hands International, a Lincoln-based organization dedicated to stopping human trafficking.

Amanda Clark was never a sex slave. Yet, when Tiny Hands representatives came to Union College with pictures and stories about thousands of little girls sold to brothels each year, it became personal.

“I thought of my nieces. I thought of my little sister,” said Clark, a senior graphic design major. “I started to think of all of the young women I know and them being forced into something like that.” She knew she had to do something. Unsure what sort of impact a single college student could have, it wasn’t till a conversation with a friend and fellow artist that inspiration hit.
