Science Odyssey: Disaster in the Gulf of Mexico

RichPierceAs BP tries yet again to cap the gusher in the Gulf, we talk with experts about why the disaster happened, whether it is likely to happen again, and what the impact on marine ecology will likely be. First up is Dr. Chip Groat, former U.S. Geological Survey director and currently interim dean of the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas-Austin. Then we speak with Dr. Richard Pierce (at left), head of the Mote Marine Research Lab's Center for Ecotoxicology.
