For some tranquil time, the kids can explore the manicured pathways and bridges and take a paddle-boat ride afterward. 3. The Menil Collection

4. Space Center Houston

The kids will also get an idea of what it’s really like living and working in space at the Feel of Space presentation. 5. Discovery Green
This is a vibrant 12-acre park located in the middle of downtown Houston. It provides a beautiful outdoor space where the whole family can unwind and participate in a plethora of outdoor activities. The park was opened in 2008 and has since been providing Houstonians with dynamic programs, events, and workshops throughout the year. The park features colorful pieces of artwork and sculptures, a performance stage, a lake, a splash pad, a playground, family movies, and tons of other activities that include kayaking and yoga. 6. Downtown Aquarium
The downtown aquarium came up after the combined redevelopment of the Central Waterworks Building and Forestation No.1. 7. Brazos Book Store
